I like a strong melody first. I also try to put interesting things within the song but many a time I'm the only one who knows about them. Most of my songs are "real" demos. Mistakes, weird noises, notes sung off-key, crap drum machines, etc...We use what we got!!!
I'm learning more about home recording (re: drum machines) and have found some software that really helps and makes things interesting. I like the production values almost as much as the songwriting.
Typically, every song I write could be given better justice by anyone else, but since I'm a protective freak I normally don't expose much of it to the public.
I really like most of my lyrics and most of my chorus'. Everything else is a work in progress.

Guitar players: 1)Pete Townshend-no one plays so mean and so nice, 2) Jerry!!!-Professional guy who fiddled on a six string, 3) Jimmy Page-he played every style so what's not to like. Singers/Writers:

Bio

Songwriter who lives like a troll in my basement recording for my own state of mind. 39 year old stiff with a family, job, house, and everything that is supposed to make me uninspired and the object of half the songs I like.
